Summary

ToothMassage itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no sign-in.

However, the app displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob, and Google collects data in order to serve those ads. That collection is described below.

What ToothMassage stores

The app saves four preferences so it opens the way you left it:

  • your chosen intensity (0%, 50%, or 100%)
  • your chosen vibration pattern
  • your chosen session length
  • whether you have acknowledged the safety notice

These are written to your device’s own private app storage. They never leave your phone, the developer cannot see them, and uninstalling the app deletes them permanently.

Advertising — data collected by Google

ToothMassage uses Google AdMob to display a banner advertisement. To select and measure ads, Google may collect and process:

  • your device advertising ID (a resettable identifier)
  • approximate location derived from your IP address
  • device information such as model, operating system version, and language
  • ad interaction data — whether an ad was shown, viewed, or clicked

This data is collected by Google, not by the developer of ToothMassage. We never receive it, and we cannot link it to you.

Google’s handling of this data is governed by their own policies:

  • Google Privacy Policy — https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • How Google uses information from partner sites and apps — https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Your controls

  • Reset or delete your advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising on your device.
  • Opt out of personalised ads: https://adssettings.google.com
  • If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you are shown a consent form (Google’s User Messaging Platform) before any ad request is made, and you may refuse. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Safety & info → Privacy settings.

What ToothMassage does not do

  • It does not request your name, email address, phone number, or any account.
  • It does not access your camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, photos, or files.
  • It does not send analytics or crash reports to the developer.
  • It does not sell your data. The developer receives no personal data at all.

Permissions

These are the Android permissions ToothMassage’s current version requests. Some are needed by the app itself; others are added automatically by Google’s advertising SDK and the Android libraries it depends on.

Permission Why
VIBRATE Runs the phone’s vibration motor, the app’s main function.
INTERNET Requests advertisements from Google AdMob.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Lets the ads SDK check whether you are online before requesting an ad. It cannot see what you do online.
WAKE_LOCK Added by Google’s ads and background-task libraries so short background tasks can finish. The app’s own “keep screen on during a session” does not use it.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE Added by Android’s WorkManager library, a dependency of the ads SDK. ToothMassage itself does not run a foreground service.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID Lets Google read your device advertising ID to select ads.
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID Android Privacy Sandbox version of the advertising ID, used by the ads SDK on devices that support it.
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION Android Privacy Sandbox ad measurement (whether an ad led to an action), on supported devices.
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS Android Privacy Sandbox Topics: lets the ads SDK use broad interest topics calculated on your device, on supported devices.

None of these permissions give the app access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files. Those sensitive permissions, and drawing over other apps, are explicitly blocked in the app’s configuration so no library can add one silently.

Children
